Your three tips for success

Does your life seem to be static?

Do you feel like you’re stuck in a rut or trapped in the same cycle day-in and day-out?

If so, then I’ve got some news for you…

YOU’RE NOT.

I’m sure you know what Newton’s first law of motion is, but if you don’t, it states that an object at rest will stay at rest and an object in motion will stay in motion.

Easy enough, right?

Except you’re not an object. You’re a human being and in life there is no such thing as staying at rest.

Everything is in motion and you are either moving up or moving down.

Picture yourself driving up a hill in a car that has no brakes.

In order to keep moving up, you need to constantly put pressure on the gas because as soon as you let up, you will immediately begin to roll backwards.

The same applies to your life.

Maybe you’re reading this and have previously made the decision to invest in yourself and become a better person, but for one reason or another, things fell through.

You let your foot slip and you’ve been rolling backwards since.

But it’s never too late go get back on track!

However, the longer you go without revving your engine, the faster you’ll fall down the hill and the more difficult it will become to start back up again.

Wouldn’t you like to get a heavier foot on the gas and put the pedal to the metal?

If you answered yes, then buckle up because I’m about give you three tips to do just that!

First, take a step back, get an aerial view of your life and ask yourself: is there anything that is weighing me down?

What changes can you make in your life that will lighten your load and help you climb the hill more efficiently?

You can start by replacing the habits that don’t serve you with ones that do.

This is so simple, yet it is something that the majority of people fail to accomplish.

Why?

Because it’s outside of their comfort zone and often doesn’t deliver instant gratification.

Prioritize your time.

Next time, when you find yourself aimlessly scrolling through your Facebook feed, stop and make the decision to read a chapter from a book instead.

Rather than spending an hour in front of the TV, put some headphones in and use those 60 minutes to go for a run or lift some weights.

Time is valuable, so why waste it?

Spend it doing things that will reward you for your investment.

Understand that the road to success isn’t paved by a complicated or elaborate process.

It’s quite the opposite actually!

Success is constructed from the basic, mundane day-to-day choices that eventually build into the dream you have envisioned.

However, you need to know what you want.

You must set goals.

How can you expect to arrive at your destination if you don’t even know where it is?

Pursue your goals and treat them as the map for your journey UP the hill.

Practice positivity.

It’s proven that an optimistic mindset can help reduce stress and improve your overall health.

Only YOU can determine your happiness.

You have the power to train your mind how you think and what you think.

So why not fill your brain with positive thoughts and surround yourself with positive people?

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success.

Many people have let their foot off the gas and will encourage you to do so as well.

They are content with rolling down the hill and get comfort from others joining them.

There’s a reason why misery loves company.

DON’T FALL INTO THIS TRAP.

Stay focused and remind yourself that everyone climbs the hill to success at a different pace.

There is no universal speed limit to follow as you ascend to the top of the hill so avoid comparing yourself to others.

As Theodore Roosevelt famously said: “comparison is the thief of joy”.
