I often notice that the biggest thing that’s standing in the way of people achieving their life-long dreams is the fact that they want it all at once.

It’s usually too big a dream to achieve in a single activity, but that’s difficult for people to see.

Think about your dreams. You probably picture the big picture: a nice house, some fancy cars, and unlimited time to spend with your family.

The basic principle of the 1% trick is to take everything in your life and make it slightly more efficient/profitable. If you take everything you do, and improve it 1%, a life of health, wealth, and happiness will be yours before you know it.

For example, start off by increasing your savings contribution by 1% per month. If you make $4,000 a month, add an extra $40 in there on top of any existing contributions. This simple increase will yield an extra $480 saved each year.

The same goes for investments, like a down-payment fund on a property or a retirement account.
