Before I started realizing my success, I thought the key was to focus on the big things in life…
The 5-Year plans, the business ideas that would change the world, etc…
But I started to realize something early on in my success journey: the little things that enhance productivity are the things that lead to true success.
That’s why I’m bringing you 5 of my ways that I maximize my productivity every day. They’re VERY easy to implement into your day…
1. Schedule in Technology Downtime
Find a chunk of time – 20 or 30 minutes – to turn your phone off each day. Your phone is an extremely powerful tool, but it also has the potential to be a distraction, so it may subconsciously be hindering your focus.
Switch it off for a period of time and you’ll see how you become ultra productive.
2. Wake Before the Sun
This is a life-changer!
It’s easy to fall into a bedtime routine and resist changing it, but if you can make a concerted effort to go to sleep a bit earlier and wake up before the sun rises, you’ll feel the productivity rush of beating the sun to work.
You won’t be rushed in the morning, you’ll have EXTRA time to spend however you want, and you’ll be able to organize your schedule and mind before the day even really begins!
3. Review Your Goals
I do this in the morning after I get to the office, but you can choose anytime that’s good for you: sit down and review your goals everyday to keep yourself on track.
This well keep you motivated by knowing exactly what you’re working towards. Aimlessness turns into sluggishness but focus equals productivity.
4. Today is a New Day
You’re going to fall behind occasionally. Don’t spend today’s time trying to make up for it (unless absolutely necessary).
This is the easiest way to burn out and become unmotivated to start working towards your goals the next day.
My point is, forgive yourself and take a good hard look at your daily routine if falling behind becomes a habit. Maybe you’re just trying to pack too much in.
5. Every Task is NOT Equal
Not everything is equal. This should be reflected in how you prioritize your tasks for the day, week, month and year.
If you have a to-do list that includes answering emails and complete step 2 of your important project, make sure you know which is more important and which needs to get done first.
You can start implementing these 5 simple tricks into your daily routine TODAY and you’ll very quickly start to see your productivity and success increase.
