Most people come at the process of starting their own business with their focus on all the great things that come with success. While you should certainly set goals and have aspirations, that term I think you should focus on in “starting your business” is “starting.”
By that I mean that you need to have a plan that gives you a clear path to overcoming the 3 main obstacles, like this:
1. Money
Here’s the money issue many people have when starting a business from 2 perspectives…
A) “I don’t have enough money to start a business.”
B) “Any business I could start costs too much money.”
Unless you happen to have a very rich uncle who’ll lend you tons of cash, here’s the simple secret that will allow you to overcome this obstacle: Find a business that requires a tiny amount of startup capital.

2. Time
Most people want to start a business to break out of their day jobs, yet that day job won’t allow them enough time to start a business. For me, this part of starting a business was relatively easy…
Find a business that allows you to start slow by building it in the evenings and on weekends. It’s that simple. This may not be applicable if you’re starting a clothing store, but I know the opportunity to start a business while keeping a day job exists because that’s what I did.
3. Fear
Sure, fear can be a great motivator. But it can also be paralyzing when thinking about starting a business. I’m going to be honest—starting a business will virtually always include some level of fear. However, you can extremely limit that fear by picking the right business to start.
If you aren’t risking much, you won’t feel as much fear. It’s only logical. That’s why I chose a particular business to start.
