Get rid of stress FOREVER

Do you get stressed by work?

You aren’t alone. 8 out of 10 workers in the U.S. report stress directly caused by their workload.

Of that number, 77% experience physical issues because of that stress, and 73% report metal issues because of it. If you’re in these large groups, you likely feel out of control and exhausted.

But don’t give up hope!

With this simple change to your routine, you can get rid of stress FOREVER.

Though 80% of the workforce feels stressed and overworked, only 6.6% of Americans over the age of 25 allot time for selfcare. And those who do practice selfcare only average about 30 to 60 minutes a day.

Now, some people hear the phrase ‘selfcare’ and think of spa days or shopping sprees. Though selfcare can include more extravagant leisure activities, usually it just means taking time for you.

Selfcare is whatever you want it to be.

It can mean taking a walk, spending time with friends, watching a movie, cooking your favorite meal, getting some exercise, reading, devoting time to a hobby, or even just listening to music.

Selfcare is the act of prioritizing yourself.

Many people feel they ‘don’t have time’ to prioritize themselves, largely because of hectic work schedules.

But it’s like what they say during safety demonstrations on airplanes—always place the oxygen mask on yourself before assisting others.

In your life, that translates to you making sure YOU are happy and healthy before you attempt to accomplish anything else.

In fact, according to a report from 2020, it was estimated that disengaged workers cost American businesses $450 billion! And studies show that stress is the main contributor to decreased productivity.

Selfcare rituals like eating healthy, exercising, reading, practicing a hobby, interacting with friends, and resting are proven to decrease stress and increase mental and physical health.

Physically, high levels of stress can cause headaches, low energy, an upset stomach, increased aches and pains, and insomnia amongst other things.

Mentally, constant stress increases your chance of suffering from depression or anxiety by 61%.

However, you can cut out stress entirely if you allow yourself the time to practice selfcare each day, even if it’s something as simple as taking a nap or watching a movie.

Treat your ‘you’ time as an appointment that is just as important as your work time, and I guarantee you’ll experience greatly increased mental and physical health.
