Many people think wealth and success comes from within… ideas, passions, and motivation.
While this is partially true, it also has a LOT to do with your surroundings.
There’s a subconscious part of you that will stop you from succeeding and achieving wealth if you’re not in the right place and surrounded by the right people.
Here’s how you can find out where you need to be, who you need to be with, and most importantly how to change it…
First of all, let’s address being in the right place.
The harsh reality is you might have to move to become the most successful version of yourself.
It’s not easy, but nobody every promised it was.
Now, I’m not saying you need to be in Palm Springs, the Hamptons, or any of the other wealthy places, but there is a lesson to be learned from the cities and states that attract wealth.
This of course differs from person to person.
First things first, you need to think about all the places that attract wealth.
Besides the ones I’ve named, you’ve got the obvious ones like New York, Los Angeles, Santa Clara, Palm Beach, etc.
What is it about these places that attract wealth?
Well, a lot of the time it’s the business that goes on there, but it goes back even further than that.
What attracted those businesses?
That has a lot to do with landscape and energy.
Are you more of a hustle and bustle, downtown Manhattan kind of person? Or are you more of a mountain-meets-the-ocean Los Angeles kind of person?
My point is, consider all the places that attract wealth, and then figure out which one aligns with who you are and the energy you’re most comfortable with.
Once you’ve figured this out, that’s one less thing on your mind, and more energy available to go into actually accumulating wealth.
The next thing to consider is the people you surround yourself with.
They say that you are an average of the 5 people closest to you.
Now, if the 5 closest people to you are down in the dumps, wasting away at a dead-end job, or mooching off others, you’re going to have a hard time breaking that barrier into success.
People are like crabs in a bucket. When they see one crab climbing up to get out, the others pull that crab down back into the bucket.
Most people don’t want you to succeed, because it shines a light on their lack of motivation and success.
So you need to surround yourself with 5 people who motivate you to be better, because they’re trying to be better themselves.
This is much easier to do when you’re in the right city. You’ll meet like-minded people who are on a similar path to yours.
You just have to be open to building new relationships that benefit everyone involved.
They don’t have to be millionaires; they just have to be of a similar mindset to you – a mindset of success.
If you’re in the right place and you surround yourself with the right people, nothing can get in the way of you achieving all the wealth and successes your heart desires.
