The secret to cultivating your success

Success isn’t a trait that people are gifted with at birth or happen to randomly stumble upon later in life.

Contrary to what others may believe, it’s a direct derivative of the hard work and persistence that’s centered around one’s passion.

Simply put, success isn’t acquired overnight.

But it does tend to gravitate towards those who develop the right mindset and plan accordingly.

That’s why I’ve listed some simple tips to ensure you’re unlocking your full potential and readying yourself for success.

Whether you feel your mission in life is to simply make a lot of money or visit every country in the world, each requires formulating a plan of action and the self-discipline to remain grounded in your pursuit.

No matter what your drive may be, you can compare it to the act of cultivating a crop…

The growth of whatever you’ve planted is influenced by how well you prepared for the seasons ahead and the frequency that you tend to the harvest.

For example, let’s say your goal is to become the next Jimi Hendrix. Do you honestly think you could achieve this by simply picking up a guitar every once in a while and strumming a few chords?

The answer is NO and if Hendrix was still around he would most definitely agree. In reality, there’s much more that goes into it.

If you really do wish to become the next greatest American guitarist, then you’re going to have to identify how to develop that particular skill (growing the crop), plan for whatever obstacles you may encounter along the way (prepping for the seasons), and then reveal your talent to the world (reaping the yield).

In other words, this type of success is only granted to the individuals who can put in the necessary amount of work and remain consistent in their practice.

But there’s no hiding it. The quality of your crop is a reflection of the amount of effort and care you put into cultivating it.

If you’re serious about becoming successful, you can’t just continue to dip your toes in the water. You need to dive headfirst into the deep end and fully submerge yourself in whatever it is you’re trying to accomplish.

The same way a garden doesn’t grow over the course of a few hours, success doesn’t happen overnight. It calls for time and effort that eventually results in accomplishment.

Keep this in mind the next time you’re embarking on a journey to conquer your goals.
