These 5 natural cures are a MUST

If you’re anything like me, you have your staple items on your grocery list—things that you buy every week or two and have been for years.

I LOVE when I find something so good that it takes up a permanent spot on my shopping list, because it takes the decision factor and stress out of shopping.

These 5 natural remedies for common ailments are a MUST when I go shopping, and if they’re not on your list already, I heavily suggest adding them…

Since adding these 5 remedies to my list, I’ve been able to fight nausea, teeth yellowing, insomnia, and so much more!

Instead of booking tedious doctor appointments, that’ll leave you with a side-effect-riddled prescription, why not just stay in the comfort of your own home and cure yourself of any ailments with these 5 natural home remedies?

Remedy #1: Strawberries + Baking Soda

Are your teeth in need of some whitening up? Going to the dentist is NOT a favorite of mine. But I’ve cut down my visits drastically with this simple method.

Use a quick mixture of crushed strawberries, a pinch of baking soda, and water. Simply add this paste to your toothbrush and scrub away for a few minutes every few months in order to rid your teeth of those coffee or wine stains.

Remedy #2: Cherries

Do you suffer from insomnia? If you do, you know just how horrible it is. But the cure could be in your home right now…

Instead of popping sleeping pills, eat some cherries. Cherries are packed with melatonin, which the body uses to regulate sleep patterns.

The highest amount of melatonin is found in tart cherries like the Montmorency.

Remedy # 3: Dark chocolate

This is one remedy I talk a lot about. For this instance, I use it to cure those irritating coughs.

Sure, you could opt for codeine and deal with the negative side effects like drowsiness. Or you could eat a square or two of dark chocolate and suppress that cough.

Remedy # 4: Garlic Cloves

One of my favorite home remedies is garlic cloves pressed and mixed into warm water.

Garlic has a TON of natural benefits, one of which is curing a sore throat. Gargling this mixture a couple times a day will help to soothe that sore throat in no time.

Remedy # 5: Ginger

Ginger is another natural cure like garlic. It has so many uses! And nausea is something we always find ourselves looking for a quick fix for.

I can’t stand it. That’s why I always rush for the ginger ice chips when necessary.

Ginger’s anti-nausea properties can help your stomach feel better throughout the day when you suck on a concoction of ginger-infused water that’s strained and then frozen.

Add these 5 natural remedies to your grocery list the next time you go shopping, and you’ll quickly see them become a staple to your weekly shopping haul.
