Are you ready for retirement? What sort of retirement plan do you have?
I hate to break it to you, but the American retirement system is starting to topple, and social security isn’t going to support everyone without bringing the entire economy down with it.
You MUST create a retirement income plan that can weather all economic and stock market conditions…
My readership is heavily made up of people in retirement or those approaching and planning for it.
And lately I’ve noticed a lot of people I hear from saying the same things… they’re terrified of retirement and they’re not ready OR they took retirement a couple years ago and are reaching the end of their funds.
This led me to deep dive into some research to see what’s changing. Here’s what I found:
1. The growing number of challenges facing the institution of retirement is getting close to breaking point
2. People are much more unprepared than what the consensus is letting on
One of my primary goals here at The Midas Legacy is making sure you have the knowledge and resources available to prepare yourself.
So, let’s start by identifying some of the major issues stacking up against retirement in general.
First, you’ve probably been hearing about the fears of social security for years now.
In a survey of Americans between 55 and 75, over 70% said they expect to be much worse off in retirement than their parents’ generation.
And the other primary retirement issue right now for the newly retired or soon-to-be retired is the stock market.
With a stock market that’s been reaching for the skies, it’s difficult for most to see a significant downturn in the near future… but I can tell you from decades in the market, it can happen at any time…
This seems to be an unexpected development for the current generation of people going into retirement who already expect to be working much later into life than the traditional norm – even beyond the age of 70 in some cases.
So what’s the alternative to simply hanging on for dear life while this all plays out?
If you don’t have one already, it’s time to create your retirement income plan. It can still involve the stock market, but don’t count on things like your mutual fund manager – mutual fund managers will happily tell you to keep buying more and more of a tanking stock in a bear market just to get a higher payday for themselves.
The key is to understand how to make money in both a bull and a bear market, or even realizing that sitting on the sideline if the market is diving is an option.
Something as simple as a monthly update and recommendations from Midas Premium could be all you need to play every turn of the market perfectly and make money even when everyone else is losing…
