A large number of retirees and soon-to-be retirees are making a bet that risks their entire retirement.
I’m talking about complete devastation with near-ZERO chance of recovery.
When I learned about this large number of people who had no idea they were risking it all, I had to reevaluate my plan and make sure I wasn’t falling victim.
You’ll be SHOCKED to see how many Americans’ retirements are at risk. Just make sure you’re not one of them…
If you’re not aware of the Employee Benefit Research Institute’s Retirement Confidence Survey, it’s widely recognized as one of the most in-depth surveys regarding retirement available.
And this year’s survey has revealed some SHOCKING information about the state of retirement and those nearing it…
But the weird thing is that confidence about having a “comfortable” retirement is actually growing among those surveyed. And after analyzing the following statistics, you’ll see why some of these people are in for a rude awakening at the worst possible time.
For starters, a large chunk of workers surveyed aren’t saving for retirement at all.
Only 63% of them are saving.
And of those surveyed who don’t have a retirement plan laid out, a whopping 83% have saved less than $10,000!
I was amazed when I saw that number. Flashes of 2008 keep coming back to me…
And I don’t think I need to remind you of what happened in 2008.
But I now fear that too many people aren’t taking their retirement future into their own hands, and instead are taking a risk that could ruin it ALL.
They’re counting on the government or a skyrocketing stock market or even pure luck to make up for their lack of savings.
But reality could soon call their bluff and force them into a retirement that includes considerable downsizing or even working until death.
The real risk for many is that they continue to put off creating a real retirement and savings plan, yet the vast majority knows very well that they’ll have to sacrifice more of their income later than they would now.
And I won’t even touch on the fact that many people nearing retirement are drastically underestimating retirement expenses…
But that’s a scary topic for another day.
What’s become even clearer to me is that the Average Joe is in dire need for an investment plan that can actually make them money while avoiding any chance of another bear market that could once again rob so many people of the money they’ve been able to save…
